Nile M. Davis, DDS
Practicing in the field of orthodontics is in my blood, and I knew that serving the people in my community in this way was my calling from a very young age. I saw my father, W. Morgan Davis, DDS, MS, help so many people get the smiles of their dreams and witnessed first hand how much joy this brought him. I was extremely honored to join his practice and work with him, side by side, in 1993.
Every new patient that comes in to our office has a different problem to solve and presents a new challenge. I am so very grateful for all the wonderful patients that have trusted me with their care over the years.
When it comes down to it, I simply love creating smiles. My patients become my friends and I love watching how their teeth and jaws change. More importantly though, orthodontics is more than just moving teeth; it is about moving people! I help to not only create a new smile but also a new outlook on life. That is what drives me each day to help each person get the very best I have to offer. Each patient helps me to become the best person and fellow human being possible and I thank them for that!
Education and Continuing Education
I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in June, 1991 at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. I continued on to receive a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics in July, 1993 at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA.
My dedication to learning about the most effective orthodontic treatments did not stop after my graduation. I love learning about the latest advancements in dentistry and orthodontics so I can give my patients the very best. I attend the annual meetings of the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists to become familiar with current information and treatments available for my patients. I subscribe to Practical Reviews in Orthodontics, a monthly summary of some of the latest orthodontic knowledge and treatments available. I also review professional journals such as the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, and Seminars in Orthodontics. I feel that the more information I have on current orthodontic information, the better my staff and I are at providing the very best possible treatment to our patients.

Outside the Office
My family has lived in Arizona for four generations and I feel fortunate to be able to practice in Mesa where I grew up. I have the best wife in the world, Candi, and we have five beautiful daughters: Maureen, Madalyn, Erin, Emmeline, and Olivia. We also have a little Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier named Honey. Aside from my father who is a retired orthodontist, I also have a brother who is an orthodontist and three brothers-in-law who are general dentists. It is obvious that my family loves to see happy, healthy smiles!
I love spending time with my family. When we are not at music performances, softball games, swim meets, church activities, or cultural events, we like to play games together and watch videos. We also like to hike and camp and enjoy outdoor activities, although we never seem to do enough of it! When I have time to myself, I love to play on my computer and am in the process of earning my pilot’s license.
Community involvement is another important aspect of my life. My wife and I just finished serving as 4th Level Girls Camp Directors for our church, enjoying 59 15 year old girls for three days in the mountains and on the lake with six other couples. It was a blast! I also currently serve the Boy Scouts in our local unit as the Troop Committee Chairman.
